🔍 How to Remove Your Personal Data from Google
Step-by-step guide to protect your privacy in search results
In this article, we’ll walk you through how to request Google to remove search results that include your personal information like your name, address, phone number, or email.
This feature is available in the Google app and can be used by anyone who wants to protect their privacy online.
Follow these steps:
1️⃣ Open the Google app on your phone and tap your profile photo in the top right corner.
2️⃣ From the menu, select "Results about you".
3️⃣ Tap "Get started", review the screen information and tap "Next".
4️⃣ Fill in your full name, email address, phone number and home address.
5️⃣ Check the box that says "I confirm the contact details I’ve added here belong to me" and tap "Continue".
6️⃣ Choose how you'd like to receive notifications (by email or app push) and tap "Save".
Google may take several hours to review your request and confirm whether your data appears in public search results.
7️⃣ When you find a result with your personal info, tap the three-dot icon next to it and select "Remove result".
After submitting the request, Google will conduct a new review before removing the content.
